Oh FFS!

He's sent OH a message asking for money, OH has replied that I'll out it through letterbox. Now he is continuously ringing OH!

As I said, where is the written bill? No paperwork, absolutely no chance of any money - how does he even know you have the bike unless peeping out from behind his curtains?

Glad you got it back.

I would say no invoice, no money. You want proof of the amount demanded, and then of payment having been made in case of any further come backs. Also if he messes you about then you have an invoice you can use to check against HMRC for tax, and the Council for trading at a domestic residence.

Karma dictates that at the very least you mess him around as much as his did you, and then pay him anything you feel you owe in ten pence pieces.

10 pence pieces is being generous. My brother paid footie subs (after a falling out with the manager over not playingand being benched all the time) in coppers. The envelope exploded when it hit the floor!
