My bike is currently needed repair I think, some of my friends suggest me that I can go to Halfords but I did hear some of the quality issues of them. Any advice will be much appreciated! ^_^

yes you could go to hellfrauds, or indeed any local bike shop, or have a go yourself , a bicycle isn't a complicated machine and many tutorials are available on you tube ,you will also receive all the advice you need via cyclechat ,
what specifically needs repairing.

Try having a go yourself.
If not confident enough or not wanting to then take to your LBS.
If no LBS... then... try doing it yourself.

Whatever repair it is, there's bound to be a man on YouTube demonstrating how to do it. It'll be worth watching at least, even if you don't do the repair (and there are good reasons, lack of tools, lack of confidence) you'll understand how the bits work and you may even fancy having a go.
Halfords get a bad press here but I think they're okay in general. Local bike shops tend to have more consistently skilled and knowledgeable mechanics, and some Halfords branches have the odd Dangerous Brian, but if Halfords is all you've got then the chances are that they'll perform a perfectly acceptable repair at an acceptable price.

Another vote for have a go yourself. Loads of info if your inexperienced, cheaper and more satisfying than trusting Halfords.

More satisfying yes, but not cheaper if you're starting from the point where you don't have any tools whatsoever.
Yeah fair point. It depends what jobs op needs doing. Most people have spanners, allen keys, screwdrivers, pliers etc. A cheepo aldi bike tool set will help with most maintenance issues.
