Bike security overnight whilst camping

I think folk have used fishing line for variants of this sort of thing - though you might find that the entangled thief would crash through your tent on top of you.

It is very good (and extremely loud) though the instructions are somewhat impenetrable to the extent that for a while I disabled it and couldn't get it going again. One of the batteries is also somewhat peculiar. But hell it is loud.

Alternative might be to attach small bells to above mentioned fishing line.

Put front wheel in tent vestibule ? There were a few thefts on the IOW couple of years ago from campground s.

The best bike security is fitting some Hope hubs. A thief would potentially ‘wake the dead’ pushing a bike away with them fitted.

An alarmed padlock would do - sensitive to movement.

I always found that a goodly measure of whisky before clambering in to the tent calmed any fears of theft, assured me of a good sleep and took care of bike security.

Movement alarms and fishing line, maybe also a perimeter alarm , four extra tent stakes, more fishing line, and another movement alarm.
