Bit disappointed not to have met Tharg and Ed, but a top ride in, did meet Fossy, Biking Fox & Sharky Bloke, and the rain stayed off for it too,.

As Fossy says, Cheadle route was pretty mellow, verging on the pleasant really.

My employer used to do free breakfasts, but they've stopped them.

There's a free breakfast in the Market Square in Nottingham on Weds, courtesy of the City Council.

There was indeed and I didn't even have to queue up like the great unwashed - mine was brought over to me

And I'm not even from Nottingham. Snigger

Saw Joe24 stuffing his face good and proper;)

I was tempted to go to one of the free breakfasts in Bristol this morning, but unfortunately there aren't any in my side of town (I commute in from the south). I also was going to join in on Bristol Biggest Bikeride on Sunday, but decided to go to Silverstone instead! Not very committed am I?!

I went to the one in Bristol (only needed a slight detour across the centre) and queued for my Bacon buttie and coffee. I also managed to get in the lorry to see all his mirrors and have a good look around and get a chip thing to put in my bike. I was 5 mins late getting to work but decided it had been worth it overall.

I don't know if it's cycle to work week or the tube strikes that have done it, but when i started cycling to work a few months ago, very few bikes were parked in the basement at work, and now it's ramned nearly everyday, with people taking different spots each day. why can't people park in the same spot, and why can't they park properly!!!

it seams that people cycled in once, and have left their bike since... i am not impressed [rant over]

Well done fella !

We had a few new folk on our rides.... think they found it OK - the hard bit was keeping the speed to 15 max.... enjoyed it though - just a nice pootle - some very pleasant roads round the back of Rusholme, that avoid the Stinking Oxford/Wilmslow road death trap....

Ah! Didn't see you myself, I was in a bit earlier than that, but my husband reported a group of cyclists on his pedal in. We've been cycling in for almost three weeks (me) and almost two weeks (him). No doubt will be passed by you in the near future!

We had a little training session at work today about bike maintenance as part of the week. Was quite good really... up until the point when the chap advocated using WD40 on the chain (no oil)...
