The last last time I checked we lived in a democracy where people could do what they wanted with their own money. If a 120kg person wants to buy and ride a bike that is their right. We as a society allow that. In the same way that individuals with views which do not accord with our own, such a homophobia are tolerated wihin reason, or those who are illiterate, or who find stringing sentences together without the correct punctation, are accommodated when completing forms, in correspondence, on line forum etc.
