Bikes on buses

And it's not joined up with public transport in Northumberland (and Durham).

I'm hopefull that North of Tyne Authority might do something about it.

Not long after I first got my bus pass, I decided I was going to use it to visit a friend in Shropshire. Well it took me two days to get to Shrewsbury but that was fine, I had a nice B&B in Shrewsbury and planned the next day to my friend who lived out in the country. There was a train to take me to some station in the middle of nowhere - I'd have to buy a ticket for that but that was OK - and a bus service was indicated from the station to a variety of villages, one of which was where my friend lived.
The only problem was, the train was scheduled to arrive at the station three minutes AFTER the bus was scheduled to leave it - the bus being the only bus of the day ...
And then there are 'studies' showing how little the station was used, and how few passengers used the bus ...
