Hi!

I've done three rides now on BKool with the Tacx NEO. It works perfect (however I do think that my speed is a bit to high). Downhill and slopes feels real and accurate.

PS: I'm new here ;)

Awesome, thanks for that feedback bud.. Might be worth downloading it and giving it a blast then.
Do you happen to know if the Garmin desktop software interferes with it?
When I try to use Zwift, Zwift really doesn't work properly if the Garmin Express is running..

Sorry to hijack but would you say the turbo is value for money. It would be quite a stretch for me to get one but I struggle to remain seated for long uphill efforts on the bkool and once I stand on the pedals power output plummets. I take it the tacx has to be powered up for BSIM software?

I have no troubles with the Garmin software (running). I also tested Zwift, but with Zwift I really have to work to get a normal speed...what trainer have you selected (NEO not available).

I managed to get a Neo at £300 off, brand new, so considering my mate paid a grand for the 2020 mains powered turbo just over a year ago, the Neo is aweome value requiring even less faffing about to setup a session... No mat required, no special tyres or anything, just clamp it in and go, and it moves about too as your bike rocks side to side.

Whats BSIM Software?

The Neo works both with and without the mains power, but you need mains power if you want simulated downhill/freewheeling and the higher resistance levels..

I havent even tried mine yet, my back is feeling very fragile lately :-(

How did you get the neo trainer £300 cheaper?

bsim is the software Bkool use to run their sessions. It is available free from their website and should control the neo. To get the most out of the system a subscription of about £8 a month is needed (worth it imo).

Just got my neo and did a quick ride on bkool. not 100% happy so far . Seems to change really quick from one grade. Another and downhill seems a bit out. In 30th gear and seems to get away from me lol. Will try more this week an see if it is better. The software cost me £6.50 per month if paid annually' with 500,000 maps the cool.

Someone on cc told me you can’t go on Bkool without a Bkool trainer!?
WTF found out you can.
I ride on there with the NEO2. Problem used to be that the Bkool software favoured the Bkool trainers, so if you were on a non=Bkool trainer you had no chance in races. This is (mostly) rectified now. But, many of the CCers who are on Zwift now switched over because of this 'feature' and I'm guessing will never go back.

I do still prefer Zwift for most riding, compared to Bkool, but a spin on Bkool every now and then is always a bit different and gives some variety :okay:

I can’t stand the Bkool graphics. It’s like going back to the Amiga or 90’s PC days.
