It's more than warm enough for shorts ... the problem is that it's too warm for anything even remotely waterproof.
Lucky so and so..where do you live?I have just seen some sun!
I blame Cameron.
I also live in the north west of England so i'm suffering as well, but isn't it the same every year? I went out last night managing to make it home before the rain came back, and i intend to go out in about half an hour when my tea has settled down, and i've convinced myself that cycling in the rain is character building,
and separates us from the fair weather family type cyclists
. My fear is puncturing because i'm not the best tube changer and when it's wet and cold i just can't be bothered and end up walking home. That's why i only do local laps when the weather is bad, as well as not being too far from home if the rain gets to me too much.
Been off work all week and i have had 1 day when its not been pissing it down when i have chance for a ride, mind you been off the bike for 2 days with the trots and pukes so no cycling for a few days til i can walk without feeling dizzy .We've had 8 days sunshine in the past 3 months in the North West.
The rest of the time its been very wet and windy and the outlook for the weekend is the same .. Its just miserable..Please stop raining..:-(
Howz it for you?
Well i went out and did 20 miles though i stayed local as i said before, i'm useless with punctures. I'm happy as i did one and a half mile an hour more than my usual ride average! How that came about i don't know, but i'm not disputing it.
I didn't see another cyclist, though when out there it was mild and no wind so i'm happy i made the effort. I dug out some old overshoes by the way, so my warm, dry(ish) feet made a pleasant change from the usual.![]()
