I pumped up the tyres then donned the lycra at 4 pm waiting for the heavy rain to stop. I was still sat there complete with helmet and goggles at 8.30, then i gave it up! If it'd been warmish, and humid like the other day i'd have gone out, but it was a mere 56F, so thanks crap weather you win!:rain:

Dos any one think we will get heavy snowfalls this year.

Ive given up with the weather i just ride come what may, our local rag prints a weather forecast on their website that changes 3 times a day in the end it just tells you what the weather is now!

Thunderstorms, torrential rain and sun showers all day
Been horrendous up here in the proper north.
Had intended to visit the site of the old family mansion yesterday (below one of arches that is now part of Scotswood bridge) I normally get the train to Haltwhistle ride to the central station and then get the train back to Carlisle but it looks like they are having trouble on the East to West railway line, so I stopped at home.

People think that i'm being sarcastic when i say that i'm looking forward to winter, because it's drier. I've noticed as a cyclist and an outdoor worker, that over the last 6 or 7 years we've gone months through the winter with little rainfall, yet summers are now more wet than dry and sunny. I can put up with wearing many layers and gloves etc in winter, but warm wet conditions become depressing when they're thrown at you everyday.

I moaned about the weather so much that it changed for me! I set off in my long sleeve jersey complete with a thermal t shirt underneath, then the sun came out and i was slightly warm. I even took my fingerless gloves off after 18 miles then a little while later i unzipped my jersey about half way down!

Fast and careful!
I usually put in a 50 plus miler with the misses on Mondays,no chance today its been lashing down all day,so into town for a coffee, the misses pops into a few shops and makes a few purchases, normal day so far!!! then the bike shop looms,I get drawn in by the glistening road bikes, sit on a few, carbon takes over my life for a moment and I am drawn in ,and sign up to the Giant defy advanced 3,so the rain as not only cost me todays ride, but has cost me big time!! but secretly I am pleased can't wait to pick it up and get it set up:bicycle:
