Have a look at this one, I have been using it for a while, and would recommend.

@jefmcg does / has at least
Yup. I use a bt earpiece with android. They are just brilliant these days. Cheap and weigh nothing and cost nearly nothing.

I had a motorola that was brilliant. It fell off and got run over by a bus. I bought a more expensive jawbone. It was not as good, and bits fell off.

A few weeks ago, after reading the reviews on amazon, I decided to get an plantronics headset. Because Halfords pay their taxes, I decided to buy from them - they price match amazon! (not marketplace) but it turned out the model I chose was actually cheaper at the Halfords than at amazon. Very happy with my choice, M70. It only has one ear piece, which is a little large for my tiny ears, but it's ok. I use the ear loop which means zero chance it will fall under a bus. The battery life is crazy. It's 11 hours talk time. IE only when your phone is talking to you. It lasts days if not actually talking, and months if the phone is out of range.

It does sometimes press on my ear, but the thing is so tiny, that sometimes I touch my ear to make sure it's still there. it weighs nothing.

I don't worry about rain at all. They often survive a washing machine, so the amount of water they take in on a ride shouldn't be an issue. Mind you, the M70 hasn't been rained on much yet, but the motorola I had fell into the toilet when I had food poisoning, so had to be thoroughly rinsed, and recovered 100%. I feel pretty confidant the Plantronics will do the same.

Have a look at the sub £20 Plantronics sets at Halfords, pick a favourite then take the plunge!

I have the Plantronics Explorer 10 Bluetooth Headset for my phone that I use to take calls with on my bike and in the car. I have had it for a year and it has worked flawlessly not bad for £12.23 Inc P&P from Amazon. I once even dropped it in the gutter when I was getting out of the car when it was raining and it was submerged for about 7 hours until I realized I had dropped it and went looking for it and it was still working just fine.

I realise this is a little old news, but I finally found a set of wireless bluetooth buds that work really well whilst I'm out on my bike. I actually only wear the left bud and tuck the right one into my clothes, so I hear all the clear instructions for the route and any noise around me as well. I got them just in time for the Manchester 100 which I did at the end of September. I used the gpx file from the organisers and added voice cues using ridewith gps app. They lasted all day and so did my phone. Not using the screen saves the battery! I have also worn them in the rain with no problem.
Although I don't stop everytime my phone beeps with a notification for texts etc, I have found it much easier to have the occasional phone conversation, as I can hear the person speaking really well without struggling to hear them over the wind or traffic, and can hold the phone to my mouth so they can hear me better too.
