Boardmans - Frame Numbers ?

Hi,

I'm getting my bike insured but I need to work out what my frame number is first.

My broadmans has a set of numbers on a gold disc underneth the down tube but it also has another set of numbers under the bottom bracket... do any boardmans owners know which one would be the frame number?

I don't own a Boardman but I would expect it to be the number under the bottom bracket. On the bikes I've had the number has always been stamped/engraved into there.

just to muddle the waters a little - I have had several bikes where the number was not under the BB. (have never had a boardman)

Too many bloody numbers! is there a set standard to frame numbers like lenght or something like that? or dose it vary according to the make?

The spotty teenagers who work in the halfords that i brought the bike from wouldn't have a clue so i wont bother making a wasted journey back there

Shocking how expensive insurance is but its better to be safe I guess esp with all the commuting I do, anyways thanks again
