I think my point was pretty clear: he's very well-respected throughout the world. I think however you're taking the muppet show analogy at little beyond the realms of comprehension anyway!
You also seem to forget that Ken was first elected as Mayor
as an independent on a non-party platform. He then rejoined the Labour Party when they realised they couldn't win against him and was able to continue to pursue his agenda, but have greater co-operation from Labour members of the Assembly.
