My bike has a rectangular section frame.
Worse is it has no lugs to fit a conventional bottle cage.

Apart from changing the bike any suggestion?

Under-saddle time-trial style cage?

You could always use a handlebar mounted bag designed for bottles like this one from Topeak:

There's an article here as well that has one or two ways that might work on your frame?

I saw a lot of electric bikes with this problem this week. Zip ties to secure the bottle mount seemed to solve it.

Couple of riv nuts as previously suggested. Youtube will have a video showing how to fit them without the purpose made tool.

Look at Rose bikes. They do mounts for a bottle cage that use velcro straps on the frame wherever you want it. Ive been using them 10 years and they are rock solid.

SKS also do adaptor straps but it is typically cheaper to buy them together with the cage

Or from £16.19 on eBay

Well thanks everyone.

Gone for the cable tie option.
Got a package, fitting, cage and bottle fornot too much money.
Will limit my stops at pubs along the way.

Has anyone worked how far you have to cycle to use up the calories in a pint of beer?
