Sunday morning is my favourite day to get out on the bike, nice and quiet on the roads, but looking out of the window this morning and I decided against it when I seen the rain, so spent a few hour cleaning and checking the bike over.

Ashamed to say I bottled it this morning.

Had every intention of going out for a decent ride across the Peninnes this morning.

Managed the grand total of 8 miles before the freezing rain, and howling winds got the better of me. After I was blown sideways for the second time on the Isle of Sky road I decided I really wasn't enjoying this, turned round and came home.
No shame you gave it a go and it wasn't good. What is, and I'm guilty of it myself but not giving it a go, because of x,y,z, etc. I hate too the 'what if' that festers in the back of my mind on those days.

Sounded nasty out there.
Don't blame you in the slightest.

We had over 200 cyclists out today, reliability ride for charity, the wind made it hard work in places but it stayed dry, like others I wont do a non essential ride if the weathers too bad, but today the only problem was a strong wind, with riding to and from the event I clocked 65 miles.
