Bought a bike. Now what colour handle bar tape?

Unless you are sponsored or paid as a pro-cyclist to ride in a particular colour scheme, I'd just pick any colour at random from the display rack at your LBS.

Some of our family bicycles have coloured Vittoria tyres that are completely WRONG for the frame colour.

Bar tape likewise.

The need for matching bidon, team kit, lycra and tyres seems to have infected cycling in the past few years.

They'll be telling you which socks to wear next... and you'll be off to Siberia if you refuse. I kid you not!!!

White or celeste. White would look best IMO, matches the seat and some of the frame colour. Celeste probably a bit too much. Black looks unfinished. The white will get dirty quickly, but if you are happy with the way it looks, you might ride it more often, that is my excuse anyway.

I like the celeste, i'd probably go for that initially with that new bike feel so it all looks pretty and then go for the more sensible black when it needs replacing or has got too dirty.

Go white for this bike (trust me, i'm a girl, we are good on colour). a good tip for cleaning white bar tape it is clear spray lubricant on a white cloth. spray the lubricant on the cloth (check it's clear, i had one that had a yellow tinge to it) and then wrap the cloth round the handlebar, grip it tight and move your hand back and forth to clean it. brings it up good as new.

Black tape would make the front of the bike look lacking in colour and expression! Celeste is a beautiful colour,and white would just complicate things, so it's celeste for me.
