I have just resurrected my Honda CB500.

MOT tomorrow - 130 miles after its last one eighteen months ago. I must get around to putting some miles on the clock this time around.

Good luck!
My VTR was mothballed last month for the Winter, I think I managed nearly 500 miles over the Year...

Sold my BMW 2 years ago after realising I enjoyed cycling more than motorcycling, and only had time for one of them.

Black Sheep, brilliant come back certainly made me laugh.^_^^_^^_^

I was a car dealer selling the Marina and it was about 1980 with a guess.

Started out on a mint CB100 that only had 150 miles on the clock, had it for less than an hour and nearly killed myself racing my dad. Then bought a nackered old CB350 and was hammering along in the rain and i don't know what happened but somehow one of the plugs shorted out on the frame and at 4k rpm i was electricuted so many times in just a few seconds i fell off that one. was to scared to ride it after that.

@Vernon, it may amuse you to know I mixed up my CBs and CXs, and thought for a horrible moment you had resurrected a Plastic Maggot.... they are definitely better of in the ground!

This is what my CB500 looks like. Mine has exactly the same colour scheme and is nearly as clean with only 8800 miles on the clock.

I think Screenman was thinking of the older CB500 which looked like this:

And just to confuse matter, Cubist, I regret parting with my CBX550 which looked like this:

There is a degree of competition for my attention but I was galvanised into action when I realised that if I didn't take out an insurance policy soon, my no claims bonus would be wiped out as I last renewed it in December 2010.

Seeing as I was insuring the bike it was a simple matter to follow through and tax and test is as there's bound to be some nice winter's days to ride it. I used to be an all year round daily motorcyclist until I discovered the heated comfort of cars....
