British bloke goes into space... why all the fuss?

Certainly nothing new about anyone going into space or spending 6 months on the ISS, and this Tim bloke isn't the first Brit to go to space... so what's all the fuss about?

Why did it take over 6 hours to get there then? I just watched the rocket launch on the news, and it looked as if it might have been going a touch faster than 42 mph .

Possibly got caught in the roadworks at the Cathorpe interchnge.
Or perhaps the ISS kept hiding.

I saw Roger Moore up there in Moonraker, and not only was he in space, he was getting jiggy in zero gravity, too.
