I've been trying to renew my membership this afternoon, I've still got a couple of weeks left to the expiry date
(I've been a member for about 30 years)

I get as far as the 'Agree To Term & Conditions' icon, but it won't allow me to go further, even after looking at the relevant pages to see if there's a 'tick box'

I tried to ring, but unless it was the Mancunian accent, I'm sure the recorded message stated "45 Minutes" as a wait time (obviously, it could have been '4 to 5 minutes'

Anyone else having the 'T&C' issue with the site?

I’ve just ride to sign in to BC and it came up with network error. Doesn’t your membership automatically renew. I think I had set up a standing order to get a discount when joining last year.

Which browser are you using?
I've had problems with some sites and switching browser solved it. I think it was Chrome that worked.

I cancelled a few months ago due to price hike of basic package that gave discounts to ~£50, but until then, it automatically renewed without me doing a thing.

mine always autorenews, I always look at the price, and its disappointing every year we seem to get less and less from it, but I still think the insurance by itself would work out to a closely equivalent number.

Mines also on autorenew.
Did have a similar problem with another web site which I resolved by not logging in initially.

At £1.00/week, I'll certainly retain my membership for the insurance benefits (on 'both sides of the fence')

Plus, possibly more importantly, it's a 'good card to play' with those at work who spill out the usual rhetoric...."Cyclists don't have insurance/licences."

I have shut someone up, at work, a few years ago, by showing him the reverse of a membership card, that has the 'Licence'........
