I like Ergons for flatbar bikes and appreciate being able to remove or install them easily by undoing a bolt, whereas many cheap grips are z lot more bother. I like barends for a change in hand positionnas well..
That came free with my first Brommie (2016), but I was too lazy to fit it! Didn't get one with the 2018 one, but didn't actually ask at the time if I was supposed to, seeing as I still had the first one, and was pretty sure the seatpost was going to be changed for one that would've made the sleeve pointless anyway.
Ergon grips on all our Brommies. I'd recommend the Brilliant Bikes YouTube channel for instructions on fitting the height adjusting sleeve ( and lots more helpful Brompton specific maintenance videos)
