Ive just bought this old girl looks great fun to ride thinking of either having powder coated rims re spoked etc or oily rag style resto has anyone been in this position how far should you take them as I dont want to wreck it if leaving it as is was the best option??? Any ideas on what age it is?

Looks very interesting .Can we have some info on the materials used? Do you think it originally had brakes?
Looks like its made for speed so maybe just for the track?

I think certainly earlier than 1930. Probably had a front spoon brake. I suspect the sprocket and chainset might not be original.

That's a lovely old thing. I'd go for a repaint or powered coat myself - there ain't , much of the original finish left so I wouldn't feel guilty. T'is a personal thing though.
