Hi all I have a bsa regency from the 50:s (pre raleigh) which should have rod brakes. Cable brakes had been fitted when I bought it so I'm trying to return it back to standard. I bought all the rod brake kit from eBay which was old bsa stuff but I think it must be post Raleigh bsa.... It has a bottom bracket bell clamp which fits on a pivot just like at the head tube. My bike has no holes for such a clamp at the bb ...just a brass hook underneath but it does have holes in the chain stays . Question is can I use some of the bits (ie the front bits) then what do I need to connect to the hook? (For the back brake) anyone??

Apparently something like this...?? Look's like an ebay search is required, still cant see how it would attach securely to the brass pivot point on the bottom bracket seeing as its like an open ended hook rather than something you could attach a screw to
