A couple of friends and I are planning to do this in the summer staying in B&B's.
Does anyone have any suggestions for suitable routes etc?

Thank you all in advance

I'm a bit confused by the reference to Anglesey: are you thinking of the C2C that runs between Whitehaven and Sunderland?

Doing it the other way round in June - Aberystwyth (well Borth just north of Aber as there is a hostel there), to Aldeburgh in Suffolk. Adapted from a CTC route over 5 days, to 7 days to fit with my slower buddy. Booked 3 Travel Lodges in the Jan sale, 2 Youth Hostels, a bunk barn near Church Stretton, & just 1 pub to book in Wales.

Try the CTC site if you are a member, or have a friend who is.

I guess there can be any number of C2C routes not just the more recognised.

East coast to Anglesey sounds a fair trek and one well worth documenting. Maybe it could become a "standard" in a couple of yaers.

Thanks Guys.

For no other reason than we can kip at home we are thinking of the following;

Day 1. Cleethorpes to Sheffield (stay at pal's house).
Day 2. Sheffield to Widnes (stay at my house).
Day 3. Widnes to Abergele or Prestatyn or Betws-y-coed (not decided yet but will be staying in a B&:blush:.
Day 4. B&B to Anglesey.

First three legs are about 60 - 70 miles.

Looking forward to it but would still appreciate any specific local knowledge/tips/advice regarding the route or individual sections.

Cheers

Paul
