Cafes specifically catering for cyclist

Sorry, for resurrecting. but I rode past a new (to me) café today

Lumby village, just off the A63 (& just west of where it intersects with the 'Tadcaster TurnPike' (A162) at Monk Fryston)

I didn't go in, as I was on a bit of a tight schedule

BEWARE though, there is a cattle-grid as you enter the grounds - to keep the 'free-range' Sheep inside

There's also a café at (ex) RAF Church Fenton, that sadly is off-limits to non airfield authorised persons

However.................. they are, apparently, moving into the old Guard-House, which is outside of the security barriers, seemingly within the next few weeks (so the ladies told me, when I was there)

This one in Liverpool is one of my favourites but the riding in to and out of Liverpool is not great. We do an annual trip round places associated with the Beatles.

My local is the famous Eureka Cyclist's Café. Very old, mixed crowd from the very young to the more mature. I think it's probably the oldest cycling cafe in the country, back when there were many cycling cafes around the country at the start of last century.

My club have an annual 130 mile run to Eureka. I’ve only been once but was disappointed by the cafe. Great ride out though.

Aw no . Only been once but one to remember for sure . An unsympathetic rebuild just won't capture the old essence. Let's hope they can give it what it deserves

I saw that yesterday, & the fact that the Fire crews had to wait for/follow the snow-plough to get to it

I liked it, even though they didn't do hot vegetarian food the last time I went there.

Some others in this area in places that are very good for cycling (assuming that you don't hate hills!) ...

I like Country Kitchen in Waddington (near Clitheroe). They have a box of big cable locks for cyclists to use.

Others in the Ribble Valley/Forest of Bowland ... The visitor centre cafe at Beacon Fell, The Cobbled Corner in Chipping, and Riverbank Tearooms in Slaidburn.

Towngate Tearoom in Heptonstall is worth a visit. (Be extra careful to lock your bike up if you stop there though. The cafe is towards the top of a very steep hill up to the village so if you spotted someone jumping onto your bike they could be speeding off down the hill on it before you had a chance to stop them!)

Craggies, on a hillside above Cragg Vale is in a nice spot.

Cock Pit Farm Tea Rooms near Ilkley was very nice when I visited it about 6 years ago.

Not a cafe, but the Fintry Inn made us most welcome today.
Seats by the fire , then they put more logs on and didn't mind us drying jackets and gloves in front of it.

Yes definitely on my personal list. I haven’t been in for a couple of years so hesitated to mention it in case things have changed. I know a couple of our guys were there recently on a bitterly cold day and found it closed. The owner happened to be on site, opened up for them and rustled up some hot food and drinks.

This one is good and it’s a cracking ride as well!
