I had a Nikon V1 for about 3 months and hated it, but i hear the Sony A's are quite nifty?
Its very much in the individual eye though. I do have some lenses that can really isolate the subject but I find pictures with a completely vague backdrop to be rather dull. I much prefer hints of real context. For this reason I rarely shoot wide open. And you usually get a sharper image down the apertures. BbThat bird photo is really nice but the background is busy....a bridge will never isolate the subject properly...a quality lens at short focal length would completely isolate the bird in total sharpness...YGWYPF
It was a "Sign of the times" comment. People filming the event rather than going to see if they could help.
Without it should read."inability to use viewfinder with camera on"
Eh?
You have totally lost me on that one GC?
I still use my new toy like it was a film camera. I somethimes wonder when I hear people have taken 1000's of shots at an airshow or motorsport event if they have actually "taken" the shots or just machine gunned the subject in the hope of getting at least one good photo........not my kind of photography ! Its the same when you hear them complain the camera did not focus ! Try manual if you have it,we all managed and lived before the new tech age and actually got some damn fine photo's. Glad I was brought up in the film age when we did take photo'sHow awesome is it to take 100s of pics and not worry about channg film every 24/36 shots (under 35s this makes no sense but bear with me)...is it a bonus or is each shot less important/ thought about?
I was talking to Simon King , the great nature photographer, at longleat a few weeks back . I apologised for only having my iPhone 6 to take a pic of him and my family as I had the long lens on my PEN. He said that no need as the iPhone camera is as good as or better than most compacts.
I would take his advice over anybody here.
