You really don't need a Camelbak on a road bike. There are practical reasons why you might need one on an MTB - none of which typically apply on the road.

I ought to mention ...

It keeps my back warm in chilly weather. That is good.

In very hot weather, it makes my back sweat a lot. That is NOT so good!
