yep... get shut of the stupid feckin 'cycle lane.

Not a roundabout, but this crossing between Morecambe and Lancaster is supposed to give cyclists priority...

it's got a give way sign, a raised red hump and the faded markings show how long it's been in place... but I've never seen a single driver give way when turning left off the main carriageway 🤬

I cycled up the Leeds/Bradford cycle superhighway today, the junctions have no consistency with their approach. Some have the traffic give way, some have the cyclist give way. There's also a few scattered " look out for cyclists" signs and the odd "no parking on the cycle lane" one dotted about.

That being said anything is better than cycling on the road in Bradford, standard of driving there is known locally to be some of the worst you'll find.

Probably not unsurprisingly it has apparently resulted in more accidents https://www.aol.co.uk/uks-first-dutch-style-roundabout-150633486.html
It's not possible to reach that conclusion from the numbers given in the article. There were 10 collisions in three years of the new layout compared to 6 in two years before (2017-2019, not clear which date, maybe the usual September road casualty report date), while cycle traffic has increased by 50%, which may mean the collision rate has actually deceased.

What it really needs is policing.

There's a video about it here. He says "meh". Basically says it cost loads and was late. It's probably better than the old one but it's an isolated bit of infrastructure just down the road from a worse roundabout. (That's me trying to sum up his views, btw, not my view. I don't know anything about it).
