Can anyone identify this Shimano Cable Operated Caliper

Branded Shimano (could be a fake i suppose). They're awful and chew cables.

I need pads for it, pads have no code on them either. Mrs Bs Clunker bike

They’re just Shimano Deore pads, take them to your LBS or Halfords, they’ll have them in stock

Ahhh I have some Shimano G01S pads but they're too wide and thin. I have some other Shimano pads that don't fit either.

I forget that the G01S pads in the BR615s are a bit oddball.

The lbs just unhelpfully shrugged his shoulders and said there are loads of pads and wanted a code to order them.

Somehow I've ended up with 6 pad types over 4 bikes.

Measure the backplate size. I may have a surplus set you could have or at least could match them to the types I am currently using so could identify what you need.

No wonder these shops go skint.

My LBS has a desk protector on the counter which has real size outlines of a dozen or so popular disc brake pads.

I think it was produced by one of the third party suppliers.

If the pad is not on there, the shop will attempt to match it using one of the online sites.
