So this is on my folding bike. The stock hub is of shoddy quality so I'm going to replace the front wheel, but can I use a qr skewer on this type of fork dropout?
The way a QR works is to hold the wheel between the forks by squeezing the drop outs against the retaining nuts on the axle. There is usually about 4mm of axle protruding beyond this nut to catch the drop out, but leaves space for compressing it. Will your drop outs be thick enough for this? Will the axle protrude beyond the If the axle will stop the skewer working properly?
