I'd keep it and persevere if it were me.

My first road bike was (and still is) and Scott CR1 Pro. I jumped in at the deep end and took it straight out for a 100km ride around the New Forest. After 25 mins I thought about giving up as it felt horrible but I persevered and completed the full route. I've since changed a few parts and had a proper bike fit...I'm absolutely at one with it now, love it!
