Your love and pity doth the impression fill
Which vulgar scandal stamp'd upon my brow;
For what care I who calls me well or ill,
So you o'er-green my bad, my good allow?
You are my all the world, and I must strive
To know my shames and praises from your tongue:
None else to me, nor I to none alive,
That my steel'd sense or changes right or wrong.
In so profound abysm I throw all care
Of others' voices, that my adder's sense
To critic and to flatterer stopped are.
Mark how with my neglect I do dispense:
You are so strongly in my purpose bred
That all the world besides methinks are dead.

I was completely unaware of the phrase 'my bad' or 'meh' and I'm still not sure what they mean. Shows how in touch I am.

My bad is new to me. Meh is used regularly by my teenage daughter.

I wonder if some of this is to blame on the late M Jackson esq. He did a song where the chorus consisted of repeating "I'm bad". It was very popular and may have had an influence on the more feeble minded.

(FWIW I always thought there should have a been a chorus replying, "Yeah you're f***ing useless actually")

At least he had a verb in there. It's not like he was singing 'my bad, my bad'

My bad hair day perhaps? Or perhaps he meant 'bath' and it was merely an R&B inspired mispronunciation.

My bath, my bath
is made of enamel and porcelain
it has a mixer by Grohe
that fine German company that manufacturers bathroom fixtures and fittings...

now where did I put my Eurovision entry form?
