Right oh. I didn't retain the question into my memory, just scanned and poked. Being a Brit and all, it's not like passing a test is vital ^_^
It is vital because I am monitoring all these comments and I will inform Government of the results.
All those failing it will be made to do a 'Named and Shamed' march through the capital.

Did the Guardian one. Had to guess on one about the Queen, or something (because, who cares, right?). 10/10.

Hi all.I took this the other day when bored and passed with flying colours but some of the answers of ones I got wrong stunned me.
Both my boys failed and are in detention as I speak.
Just type in British Citizenship Test.

Which test? Google brings up several...

I think it's gonna cost about a grand for my wife to sit this test. Ridiculous.

Just show her this thread and only charge her 50 quid!

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Well I agree the test should be online and free, not sure the rest of Britain would agree though...

Do you ever get the impression we don't want those nasty furriners polluting our pure-bred British blood-lines?

As one or two people have pointed out, for the price of one British citizenship for someone who has lived her for years, paid tax for years and is married to a local, you could get Dutch or German citizenship for an entire family and still have change left over for a decent celebration. Tourist visas are also stupidly expensive, and don't get me started on visas for people coming over here to work - after a year failing to recruit someone with ready-made employment rights I eventually found someone in Australia. Because the country had run out of visas for "ordinary" recruits (i.e. people paid more than double average national wage) and I didn't want to waste weeks advertising in job centres (for an extremely experienced professional) I had to bump up his salary so that he got into the unrestricted visa bracket. And then pay another several grand to get the visa organised and bought.

Sadly yes. As a white male middle class Englishman I was quite surprised (what with white privilege and all) to hear my kids were getting racial abuse at Bluewater one time:

"Go back to where you came from!"
"What, go back to Bromley? No worries, this place is a shoot hole."

Now my son gets racial abuse about the Zika virus on the bus to school - my wife is from Brazil.

And people still wonder why a party promoting a hard Brexit did so badly last week....
