Can you put a belt on wrong ?

Buckle in my right hand, belt pulled through the loop clockwise and I'm NOT left handed.

However my Dad was and I might have copied him inadvertently as a child. Also why when I do wear a watch (not often admittedly) I wear it on my right arm.

I wrap my belt around anti clockwise i.e. buckle in left hand - other end of belt in right hand

for some reason I always thought that was technically wrong

I have no idea why but I reckon it doesn;t make any difference

I'm left handed and always have buckle in right hand IE clockwise around you from above. It feels wrong the other way ...didn't realise there was a mens/women's way 😁

That makes a lot of sense, as it means you are doing the fiddly bit with your dominant hand, and just holding the buckle steady with your "second" hand.

On a slight tangent your belt should be the same colour as your shoes.
