There's going to be another new system? Is this one without numbers or letters?

Ah, no, I mean 'new' as in the one we've had for... well, however many decades we've had it now. The one that superceded "letter - three numbers - three letters".

I think the next system will be muddy brown digits on a muddy brown background, which reads, if you look very carefully, "whatevah!"

They do teach it at school, but for me that was an age ago im 50 now.
Are you one of these who puts sarcastic remarks on everyones posts.
I bet you are a barrel of laughs at a party.
Age is not an excuse, I’m 48 and was probably at school at the same time as you, and I can still remember how to do really really simple sums.
As for parties, what in hell name as that go to do with the price of cheese. Yes I am the life and soul of any party I go to, so much people call me “Mr party maker” I’m the guy that Pink wrote the song about, you know the one!
“Get this party started, on a Saturday night; everybody's waiting for me to arrive”
I guess you’re no fun at the dart board?

I have a party saturday night, the guy who does the running is a kickboxer, maybe you and him can get aquainted.
To clarify a little the guy takes a slow jog for the first mile, then alternates sprinting/ joggin on the way back.

Someone should print this off and put it in a time capsule so that future generations may know what internet forums were.

This is purely "out of interest" (don't shoot me........I'm one of the 5 that answered.)
I'm now 65 and when I were nowt burralad we learned our 10 X table by rote.......we literally had to chant it out every day to the point we no longer had to think about it. Some years ago I was with a guy and his 16 year old high school son who was trying to work an equation out and he asked me "whats 9 X 7" and I responded without thinking-63.
His expression and amazement was staggering......as was the fact he didn't know.

I know the answer!

6 hours, 14 gallons of white paint and four shovels. And the outline on the map is that of Kuwait.

All those answers were wrong in my Frech O-Level, but I'm hoping they'll be right be now....

Passage of time and all that.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Erh u wat?????
"A bit more than 6mph" is a better answer than "6.3157894 mph". Partly because it's more useful, partly because the latter answer implies that you can measure both time and distance accurately to the 8th decimal place - that is to the nearest micron and microsecond respectively.
