I'd noticed thatinteresting poll results with "OTHER" being the most popular choice.
Me too though not as good as when it was only £38Still Autoaid. £59, incl Homebother for both self & wife, irrespective of what we're driving is outstanding
I agree, but still a stone-cold bargain even at that massively inflated price (how do they make money???)Me too though not as good as when it was only £38
They claimed they didn't hence the rise, although they were bought out by a venture capitalist company, so the cynic in me thinks they were making money just not enough for the vultures, oh yes I am jealous that I haven't enough money to make more.I agree, but still a stone-cold bargain even at that massively inflated price (how do they make money???)
Running reasonably aged vehicles, I'm well in credit, so thanks to you and others for subsidising me!They claimed they didn't hence the rise, although they were bought out by a venture capitalist company, so the cynic in me thinks they were making money just not enough for the vultures, oh yes I am jealous that I haven't enough money to make more.
But the business I presume is built on the fact most people won't call them out, I've been with them for 15+ years used them only 3 times I think, maybe 4. I had a gearbox go on a MR2 Turbo, a fan belt snap on a Classic Mini, a bottom wishbone snap on a Golf (that could have been scary). On the basis of that I still think they have made a small amount of money off me.

Where I live it does not make much difference. The local garage does all of them and the nearest recovery lorry is 60 miles away unless they are all away on mainland deliveries.I wonder if it makes a difference where you live.
We've just 'upgraded' a bit, so instead of 2x15 y.o, we have an 8, a 13, and a 15 y.o.Our newest car is 13 years old, having now trimmed it done to 2 cars & a bike,
Naughty, that.I have been with the AA for many years and until last year had reasonable service the few times needed. The last call out was a non functioning speedo about 300 miles from home when I was not impressed. In the past I would have been escorted to an appropriate garage but on this occasion was advised to use a hand held mobile and keep up with other traffic. I knew the problem was probably a faulty sender so a simple fix for anyone with one in stock or who could get one quickly.
Not just naughty but totally illegal. The A90 dual carraigeway was fine but navigating through Aberdeen and Perth had to hope everybody else was keeping to the speed limit. The villages on the A85 have frequent speed checks also.Naughty, that.
