Finally my mud flaps have arrived for the Van. Despite being a very common commercial vehicle, no-one seems to make any, other than Recambo. Best price was direct with Amazon due to shipping and customs duties, but £60 for a set of four can't be bad.
These are properly moulded ones, and offering up to the wheel arch, each 'flap' uses one of the wheel arch's existing attachment screws (which massively helps with placement), but then needs a few more 'holes' adding to the wheel arch liner - no metal to be drilled anywhere. Out with the dremmel to drill holes and I'll need a stubby screwdriver to fit.

All done. Doddle. No access to use those fittings. Main bolt has a fitting to screw into but the rest just self tapped. They won't be going anywhere. Double checked the rears as there are door sensors that detect your leg and open the sliding doors - didn't want to screw into any wires ! They still work !

Rear discs replaced today with the help of my tame mechanic and his two-post lift - I'm too old to keep bending down and standing up so getting the car to the right height is a god-send. Even then getting the old discs off was a bit of a PITA and I was glad of my mates help in beating them into submission. The rear pads were swapped a couple of months ago and although the old discs were thin there weren't any grooves in them so the pads were still okay.
We also went through the steering and suspension bushes as I've noticed some noise when hitting bumps or potholes. Both rear and front drop links need replacing before the MOT in December
Here's hoping that's all there is before then but at nearly 195k miles things will be wearing out - a bit like me really
