My car tyres are due for replacement soon, so I logged into my BlackCircles account to re-order the last lot: 4 x Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 185/60 R15 H.

I nearly fell off my chair at the price.

In May 2021 I paid £72 per tyre, supplied and fitted. The exact same tyre is now £102!

What the heck’s going on? Is it the B word?

Anyone know of a better deal for a similar tyre?

My partners had to get a new tyre for her Mokka, last time was £124, this time £165.

Put Vredestein Quatrac all seasons on and save £20 a corner via Black Circles. Excellent tyres, fantastic value and a good choice for your location. We run them on one of our cars in a very slightly different profile.

Look a midrange tyres like Toyo, Yokohama fallen and davanti for cheaper good quality tyres.

I brought some cheap tyres whilst on holiday for our carravelle and the seem like they are all groves!! Like a 2wd tractor tyre!🤣🤔😥

Almost as expensive as bike tyres

That's a fair observation.

Certain small diameter skinny car tyres cost as little as 50 odd quid if you don't mind the latest Chin Shen Sliplops.

Which makes one wonder how bicycle tyre manufacturers justify the prices of their product.
