Well this is painfully ironic, given Chris' campaign work.
I don't know the exact details, obviously, but the vehicle involved is said to be a pick up truck. I have had two near misses with pick up trucks pulling trailers (I realise this isn't mentioned in any reports.) Both times the driver has overtaken me and then pulled in seemingly unaware that he is towing an excess load.
Be safe out there.

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere on the forum, but Chris Boardman's Mum was hit by a car whilst cycling today. Sadly she died.

The news seems to have broken for cyclechat on the pro cycling Tour de France thread following Chris' tweet. See the last 3 or so pages and also the Carol Boardman thread.

I'm glad she lived long enough to witness and revel in all of Her son's achievements. She must have been so proud of the top bloke he has become.
