Well in the market for a MTB for £500 max and from Halfords as C2W is through them. They have nice GTs and quite like the Carrera Fury albeit its over budget. Anything in their stable worth a look. Sales bloke in Halfords did say keep an eye on website as they do offer deals, so just reserve and then get your C2W voucher when done.

I have the carrera Kraken, Usually sells for £320-350ish. I have done a fair few miles on it now, with 2 trips over the "Follow the dog" trail at Cannock chase and it stood up well. Im a begginer but never thought the bike was holding me back!
Given th chance again, I would go the extra and get the Fury as it gets good reviews and has better components that are worth the extra - but only if you intend to go off road. If you are using it for light off road like trails (or just the very pot-holed roads that are about now), the kraken will do you fine.
