Van Gogh was without part of his left ear for the last year or so of his life
Beethoven was profoundly deaf later in life.
Stevie Wonder was blind from birth but as far as I know doesn't have any ear or hearing problems. Maybe I'm wrong there.

I don't know what those coloured cables and plugs are but I'm going to guess something to do with headphones or speakers.

I give up.

Now, this has been bothering me all day. When van Gogh cut his ear off, did it affect his hearing? If not he would have benefited from the RCA left audio jack.

Well, it seems unlikely that the ear cutting would have affected his hearing but he did suffer from tinnitus and other hearing problems. And it's possible that it was Gaugin who cut Vincent's ear off, not Vincent himself.

No one knows for certain if it was his whole ear or just the lobe.
Either way he would still be able to hear, just with reduced function.
