Looks like copyright problems with the first vid, but lots of nice Fergie pics in the second.

Seeing those - and reading the wiki link - reminded how important the three point rear implement linkage design was and still is.

The 'banana arms' front bucket is another striking image.
Its actually the same video! I'll correct it later.

The three point linkage is still only copied today.
Used a 20, 35 & a 65. Open fields with nowt to hit.

Carried the outer rim from here to the farm in Ireland, hydraulic pump as well as other small parts.
Pump cost £30.

I haven't done the offlcial DVLA test, but have done (via work) the 180 excavator course & tractor driving at this company

http://www.birkwoodplant.co.uk/course/180-excavator-npors/

In our old Hospital (pre-PFI build) a few of us volunteered to be trained, then work on a rota gritting the road network in the Hospital grounds, but we had to be trained

Still, it was far, far (& indeed FAR) better equipment than the Hospital had to offer us

'Y' plated Case (we had 2 of these), with gritter trailers, driven/geared from the trailer axle

Is that the one where you drive down the middle of the road at 10mph dropping copious amounts of muck off the back of the trailer, forcing oncoming traffic to hide in the hedge and sentencing following traffic to a solid 15 minutes of tedium on a road with multiple overtaking opportunities which you block by driving on the wrong side of the road. Finally you turn left into a field after signalling right for 1/2 mile?

Piece of cake!

This here's what you need, if you're gonna pioneer.
You can plow with it. 2 wheel drive, on a motorcycle.

slowmotion

Quite dreadful

Not forgetting the 'Ignition Paper'

A friend of mine had 2 Series 1 FM's

4.5 (ish) litre, single-cylinder (horizontal) engine

Robert Crawford in Lincolnshire are the biggest specialist for them

The wiki entry for Field Marshall tractors has this rather good sentence......

Depending on the condition and mood of individual tractors, it is possible to get a thorough workout starting the Marshall.
