I only attacked before the first climb of the last CC Ecosse ride I attended because otherwise I wouldn't have gotten up it at all!

You mean to say riders have race tactics on CC rides these days?
I might bring some TicTacs, hope that counts

It's only really the first part which is pretty steep, levels out after that and the top is a bit tuff but thats it
