Yes, I forgot about it too, but a mate reminded me today. Dehydration, cold, and restricted movement of the legs are 3 things for me to be careful to avoid!

I live in NE facing house so the central heating been on since August. Last few years central heating was on all year round.

Lit the stove a couple times already. Not quite ready to light it full time yet. These old welsh cottages take a long time to get warm, what with these 2ft thick walls and all !
Nothing like a wood burning stove going in the winter !

I miss my wood burner. We are not allowed to fit it here. I am in two minds about selling it. I could sell it about now or hang on to it until May and move house and see where we end up and whether or not we are allowed to fit it.

Fired up the paraffin stove y'day evg. Not essential yet but I wanted to check it still worked before it was. Must get more para.. It's about 10C and going down to 7 tomorrow

Will be back in York soon but out again early next year.

He'd changed the pump within 25 minutes, and with a swish of his Zorro-like cloak, was gone! All I have to do now is wait for the bill!! After which I'll need a lie-down. Gosh, life is exciting sometimes!

I don't turn my central heating on. As I don't have any! The only heating I have is a multi-fuel burner in the living room and some portable oil heaters if things get desparate. I haven't had a regular fire going at all so far, or used the heaters. I've even had the top floor windows open all day.
Weather is taking a turn though, so will probably have to stop leaving the windows open soon. It's when I have to wear socks for bed I know I need to start making the fire again!

Like plax, I dont have central heating just a multifuel stove in the living room. Here in the foothills of the cambrian mountains it was cold today, so got a small fire going. Im , lucky though my stove heats my whole house. It's toasty warm here.
