What a sad day it was for us folk in NI when Wiggle took over one of our biggest local success stories. I remember CRC was a little narrow bike shop in my home town, barely room to walk down the middle of the bikes displayed either side. I think that shop is now a barbers. CRC used to be great for really good discounts but now they are few and far between. The main disadvantage was that if I ordered something off CRC I could return it to their bricks and mortar store in Belfast but seemingly their online presence and actual shop are different enterprises now, either way I've certainly bought few fewer things off them in recent years.

I very rarely use them at all.
Agree that the prices aren't what they were.
They are more interested in the mamil weekend warrior type of cyclists than general tourer/day-to-day utility cyclist - essentially because the margins are higher on the latest "must have must be seen with" thingy.
I still get their pretty much daily mails about supposedly wonderful things though - new in/just dropped/what everyone else is supposedly buying though - must get round to cancelling them.
Pre brexit I used Rose of Germany in preference to them - but can't anymore.

They used to have really good sales, massive mark downs every Thursday. Now each 'new' sale is a redesigned ribbon on their site with the exact some promotions they've been running for weeks and months beforehand. Often I was drawn into buying gear off of them because their deals were so irresistible but it's been a few years since I've seen such a tempting offer to make me impulse buy.
