Day time TV adverts are aimed at a lowest common denominator demographic. They can be broken down into various catagories.

The Injury Lawyers 4 You ads with their "where there's blame there's a claim" culture.
The get a loan to consolidate all your other loans advert for people who can ill afford another loan.
and now we seem to have the dating adverts for the lonely housewife wanting some fun.

haven't watched weekday-daytime telly in some years, but do they still have the "hello, are you old? would you like some grey vinyl shoes and pastel coloured knitwear, whilst pootling about on a mobility scooter or maybe going on a coach trip" ads?

Charlotte might not want to pick someone up from a bar.

She might would almost certainly do better for herself hanging round her LBS, for example !

So Charlotte goes out on loads of dates every weekend, that means either:

a) She's a slapper
b) No body wants to see her for a second date

I joined them about a year ago and having spent ages filling in the questionnaire as honestly as possible all I got was one message from someone asking 'wtf?". I then stumbled through another barren six months without a single view of my profile until last week when they eventually emailed me to say I was probably unsuitable for anyone. Thanks, dicks.

Too bad to be true - a quick Google revealed that it was fake. A good fake though!

Unfortunately, I witnessed the real thing this evening - I went for a meal with my ex and her daughter rang to say that her cat had been put down after being hit by a car. They were crying down the phone to each other for about 10 minutes ...
