Don't worry, the moves will be written down in their little book of games.... Pawn to B7, come on.

I struggle with all this B7 lark - P to KN7 I get. Bough a couple of chess books, and I can't visualise what they're on about without getting a board out.

It couldn't be a black pawn on any move. While pawns start on row 2 black on row 7. Pawns only move forward ergo it is not possible for a black pawn to move to row 7.

I was thinking the bishop thing in the corner - but that would be KN3 in old money
As in my other post, I struggle with this A6, B7 lark.

Think of it as coordinates similar to playing battleships

I learned both quite early on but, having used e2-e4 or the like notation more often since, sometime struggle picturing the older way :smile:
