The list was compiled based on the number of children given that name, so only 4 olafs in a year made it unusual, or rare. I just think naming a child after a snowman is odd.One person's conservative attitude is another person's idea that something's only 'odd' if they haven't heard of it themselves?

Afraid I have to resurrect this thread as I think I've just come across the most ridiculous name yet. New student here named Miami. I kid thee not. And another called Nation. What the hell is going on here?

this has been very popular in America, such as Anderson, Maidson, Kennedy, Brooke, Brady, Harrison, to name a few....
We had a supplier contact in Germany called Helmut Licke.....not an unusual name in his homeland but kept our buyers in laughs every time they phoned him....
These are the ones that stand out for me in the thirty years that I've spent in schools.
