Last time I was in China I was in a bike shop, completely unsweaty and wandering aimlessly. The chap sold me two bananas and a goldfish - bastard told me it was the pragmatic notion of how cycling is done in China.

There was an inscrutable looking Chinese fellow who saw it all (you could tell he was a serious cyclist).

I hope he posted something on the Chinese interweb about it all to warn others
