OK, that's it. I'm tucking into the Christmas swallie.

I am not a big fan of Christmas. I don't trim the house up and I don't have a light display that is visible from space on the front of my home either.
There is a turkey place on the Louth Road and they have just been told to take their countdown ad down. It's been up since '105 days to Christmas'. The locals are all up in arms about it. I am secretly quite pleased.

Just been to our local boutique garden centre and they have an area of Christmas decorations out already.......

Bah humbug is my answer
Wilko in Carlisle have been displaying 3ft Santas and assorted decorations for about ten days.Only a small stand thus far but for how long?Another ten days at most I reckon.....sadly.It annoys the life out of me,it seems they've beaten the plastic pumpkins this year!

Its a slipperly slope...autumn equinox, Halloween, bonfire night, Christmas. Hell, the easter eggs will be in sale before the end of November.

We didn't celebrate for many years, no tree, no decorations. We only started a couple of years ago for dad after mum died. This year I cannot get at all enthused, just want to finish work, lock the front door and not resurface until the New Year.

I've just seen my first lorry load of Christmas trees of 2017, fresh from the forest and heading south:santa:.

I'm going to get just one Christmas decoration this year. I'm going to get this quote framed and hang it up in my hall.
