On about Christmas,i saw a Scalextric boxed item in a charity shop in Accrington on Wednesday, for sale at 25 quid. A bit steep or what! Me and brother got one about 1975 for a Christmas prezzie. They were 'the present to buy' then, but who'd want a dodgy wiring, may not work box of tat like that now i wondered.

In other Christmas related news, the ukulele band that I play in opened discussions this afternoon about what Christmas songs to include in our repertoire this year. We have about a dozen gigs (all done for free or for donations to charity) in the early part of December.
7 songs were chosen for consideration, with a view to some or maybe all making the final play list.
What the band don't know is that I have written a parody Christmas carol, which will also be "auditioned" at our next meeting......
