Someone posted a link to an excellent website for circular rides in North Wales...........which got me wondering if there is anything similar for the Cheshire area.
I am going to google it but if anyone knows of a good one it would be a great help.
Edit.........as "on the road" routes

Cycle-route.com (as suggested in the other thread). How far are you looking to go and from where back to where?

Sustrans route to Connahs Quay then Neston and back around to chester. Hopefully the Pikeys will have been removed today, after they broke one of the gates open.

Get thee to Knutsford on the Budworth road then get thee to Manchester airport via ashley, then get thee to Wythenshawe and Altrincham via the a560, then get thee to Warrington via Dunham massey and Lymm.

50 mile round trip with a bit of everything and you can throw in tatton park and or Dunham massey deer park if thou so desirest.

That sounds like it would take me on some MAJOR roads..................am I right/wrong ??
I know of one that takes me to Culcheth-Hollins Green-Warburton Bridge-Dunham Massey & back..........that is just shy of 40 miles of mainly "quieter type" roads.
I am planning that for tomorrow.

Sounds good. My route does have some trafficy parts but that's all part of the fun! Happy to show you the way at some point.

Something like this?

Probably need a strava account to zoom in to detail level.

I wouldn't recommend the route through Northwich on the 2nd, Old Warrington lane and Marbury lane is MUCH nicer. Mostly I run around the Cheshire Cycleway: http://www.cheshirecycleway.co.uk/map.html

www.gpsies.com and search around your house or convenient spot, If you type in say Warrington keep the search area tight as Warrington is big enough.
Then use the filters to get just cycling, and then choose round trip (or a one way to wherever and search that place for a different) and then filter distance - say min 20miles )to remove lots of 5-10m pootles) set max to 80% of your favoured distance to allow for getting to and from likely results.
